Simon has established himself as a successful consort baritone and has performed frequently with many of the country’s leading vocal ensembles including The Gabrieli Consort, Stile Antico, the Eric Whitacre Singers and The Hanover Band.  Several recordings have received critical acclaim, including Ensemble Plus Ultra’s 10-disc project of the sacred works of Victoria which was winner of the 2012 Gramophone award for early music.   More recently he sang with the Magdalena Consort, Fretwork, and His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts in ‘In Chains of Gold’, a Three-disc project of Tudor verse anthems, and Sarah Kirkland Snider’s Mass for the Endangered with Gallicantus.

Solo work has included Bach's St. Matthew Passion, St. John Passion, and B Minor Mass, Fauré’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solonelle, Finzi’s In Terra Pax, Monteverdi Vespers, and Handel's Messiah.
